But, he is often busy for a long time, and with a laptop it would be much, much more convenient! So. I need it for books, articles and films, programming. The minimum requirement is to keep 50+ tabs in the browser stably while a couple of other programs are open. A small screen is clearly not needed. I rarely play games because it takes time. It is important that the laptop is up to date for a long time. The budget is still floating, it is not known in general. I think up to 30 k, maximum 40 k.
UPD 1 - Stationary - not an option. There is nowhere to put at home, and it is inconvenient to leave to study. Tablet too. Price, small screen and hardware are not satisfied.

My advice to you is buy a PC. Then you get tired of cleaning the laptop and you can’t do an upgrade normally. Slightly broken - parts on order. The screen is small, but for programming in a good IDE 24-27' is desirable.

From experience - if a laptop was bought for $1000 or more - after 5 years it turns out to be at the level of a new device for $400, already with a dead battery, a replaced HDD and added memory.
