Which is faster: 2 DDR3 sticks or 4 DDR3 sticks on the FX-9370?

I'm thinking of buying memory for the Asus Sabertooth 990FX motherboard.
I think it's better to have 2 sticks of 16GB, or 4 of 8GB.
Your opinion? And preferably with an explanation.

Two channels are allocated for memory, so there is not much difference between 4x8 and 2x16.
