Which is better for programming: a pair of 2K monitors or a pair of 4K?

I'm going to change two 24 "FullHD for something newer. I settled on a pair of 27" monitors, but did not decide what would be more comfortable in work: 2K or 4K.

I am mainly engaged in programming for 8-12 hours a day, occasionally I watch movies.

What do you recommend for 27 inches: 2K (2560x1440) or 4K (3840x2160)?

I'm sitting at two 4K 27 "monitors (200% scaling). The text size is comfortable. The text is perfectly clear.
IMHO, 2K for 27" is not suitable. At 100% scaling everything is too small, at 125, 150, 175 - soapy, at 200 - too large.

4K has more pixel density.
As said above - select the desired scaling and the text will be clearer. And in the future, you will not have to change 2K to 4K.
