Which hdd container to choose for a videographer?

Good afternoon!
Recommend a container for 4 or more hdd disks with raid.
I work on iMac 5k 2015. Mac OS in Final Cut, so another question is
thunderbolt or usb (the former is more expensive, but is it worth it)
