Which hard drive to choose: CMR or SMR?

Hello everybody!
I want to buy a 4 TB hard drive for big data storage (from 2 GB to 30 GB). The choice was between WD Red ( https://www.dns-shop.ru/product/a389d0db1a8430b1/4... ) and WD Purple ( https://www.dns-shop.ru/product/8504a25c47303330/4.. . ).
The price is the same, but there are differences: CMR and SMR. I haven't figured out which is better.
I will often write files to the disk, and large ones. The disk will work around the clock. btrfs file system.
Explain in simple terms what will be more reliable / faster: CMR or SMR?

Of course CMR.
SMR is a crutch for increasing recording density in conditions where it is not possible to reduce the recording head.
Here is a post on how to check if a disk is using SMR .

I will often write files to the disk, and large ones.

Take a look at the pictures in the post at the link above. The graphs in it clearly demonstrate what will happen with the speed on a disk using Shingled Magnetic Recording.
