Which graphics card should I choose for math operations (data science and neural networks) and gaming.
First question: Is it possible to ask such questions on Habré, and if not, where can I ask?
I'm new to programming, so I don't need powerful calculations. And I would also like to play on it (not much, of course, and medium settings are enough, expensive models are not for me).
One more question, this card is for my Lenovo Yoga C740-14iml i7 laptop, so I need a docking station (maybe?) for it.

Your laptop has an integrated video card (roughly speaking, built into the processor) and I did not find information on whether there is a place for a discrete video card inside, but 99% that it is not, because. you essentially have a so-called. And there are 2 problems at once:
1. With the current state of the GPU market, your choice range is extremely small, because. prices are inadequate and even a conditionally average video card alone costs like all components for assembling a PC or an average laptop.
2. A normal graphics card dock costs a little less.
In my opinion, it’s easier and in some sense cheaper, especially in the future, to assemble a PC or buy another laptop with a discrete video card if the laptop’s mobility is critical and there is nowhere / no way to put a PC.
In terms of the card, for the vast majority of games at medium / high settings at 1080p, the GTX 1650 is enough, and there +/- which one will come across cheaper - 1650 ti / super, 1660, 1660 ti / super.
If the price bites, then the younger series will also go as a stopgap for a while - GTX 1050 ti, but here Lady Dimitrescu is unlikely to be smeared in high settings, although again, ~ 90% of games until 2020 will pull.
