Which gaming laptops have a discrete replaceable graphics card?
Hello, I'm trying to find a gaming laptop within $ 1200-1300, in which it will be possible to replace the video card. The choice fell on the MSI GP72 7REX, but as it turned out, the discrete video card on this laptop is soldered onto the board and cannot be easily replaced. What do you advise? Thank you!

The possibility of replacing the video card in the laptop exists. To do this, you need to look for laptops with MXM GPUs ( https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9C%D0%BE%D0%B1%D... ). True, they usually cost a little more than your budget. But it seems to me that you can pick up something from Clevo, XMG & etc.
I advise you not to deal with garbage and take a full-length PC desktop (since you really want to change something in the future).
It is difficult to replace a discrete video card in a laptop even if it is replaceable - different connectors, chip location, cooling system. They are also hard to find on sale - mostly second-hand, pulled out of laptops. What is required from a computer? If compactness is important, you can assemble a gaming PC in a Mini-ITX case (I’m building one for myself now), the size of a third of an ordinary system unit. In the case of frequent moves, the laptop will really be more convenient in terms of carrying. And fewer cables. But in terms of upgrades, the laptop loses. The chances that in the future you will replace the video card with a more powerful one are quite small. Choose what is more important for you - the possibility of a simple upgrade (+lower price) or the portability of a laptop.
Which gaming laptops have a discrete replaceable graphics card? All. Since external videos are connected to anyone.
I will support Roman Crabbs - do not do garbage. In all laptops, even gaming ones, video cards are soldered on the board. Of course, perversions exist, but non-standardized modules are used there - that is, you will depend on one manufacturer and the models that it produces. If you really want a replacement card, then it's better to purchase an external adapter for connecting standard desktop video.
