Which Filesharing service to choose for a freelancer?
Goodnight!
Please advise who uses what to exchange files with their clients and customers?
I still have the following requirements for convenient work:
- clients should not see each other's files
- you can give links directly to shared directories
- but so that they too (or me through remote control) can upload their files to these directories (i.e. dots exchange)
- and ideally, so that all this does not require long explanations where to poke to mount the remote xxx, put yyy or send an invite to the user zzz.
At the moment, I settled on ownCloud on my VPS, where I create accounts for clients, but there are still a lot of moves on my part.

as an ftp server option.
For example vsftp. User folder = home folder.
We got a client, we make a user on vps without a shell, a password, we throw an address with a login and password, for example, in windows, he simply enters the ftp:// address in the explorer, reads, copies, pastes files, you also work with your accounting.
Well, something like that in a nutshell. That is, from your actions, log in via ssh, drive in one or two commands, send a letter.
P.S. Too lazy to type in one or two commands - write bash with questions: name, password, email, the server, as it should work for you. True, you will have to raise some simple smtp, and send logins-passwords in clear text to email, not camille. For paranoia, add a service like sms.ru. A phone number will be added to the questions in the script and send the login address by email, and the password by SMS.
In my opinion, dropbox fits all four requirements . Why reinvent the wheel?
