Which external drive to take hdd or ssd? Are there pitfalls with SSD? And hdd (ssd) with a case separately to buy or together?

And then a pancake for 1500 hours of using portable hard errors went on a portable hard. Now I think this is normal or did I get married?
And what problem-free company is better to take?
volumes from 1-2 TB are needed approximately.

1500 portable hard drives
please convert to human time units.
Get an SSD. There are no mechanical parts in it, so the probability of damage during unsuccessful transportation is much less. Good firms are Samsung, Intel, SanDisk.

This is normal, but marriage is not excluded.
HDD is afraid of any shocks, vibrations - there are very subtle mechanics. Therefore, when used in boxing, it is often subjected to concussions, vibrations, and as a result, fails. This is quite normal and predictable.
And what problem-free company is better to take?
No difference.
Regarding the choice - you can take both SSD and HDD.
The HDD is cheaper, the volume is larger, but it requires very careful storage and use.
The SSD is more expensive, the volumes are smaller, but it is more resistant to shock and shock.
Another advantage of an SSD is its compactness. Take an SSD in M.2 format and get a compact drive.
Of the features of SSDs, they cannot be stored for a long time without use (several months or more), there is a high risk of data loss.
As a result, absolutely reliable drives do not exist, choose the one that is acceptable according to the required characteristics.
And in order not to lose data - there are backups.

I would take an SSD if it's not long-term storage of cold data, but for occasional use.

And then a pancake for 1500 uses

It's unclear, but it doesn't matter
Now I think this is normal or did I get married?

HZ. Maybe you dropped it, or threw it carelessly, or pulled it while working. Or maybe marriage. Or maybe that's how the stars aligned.
errors went

What kind of mistakes?
And what problem-free company is better to take?

There are no problem-free firms. Do not take garbage, focus on the warranty period and the required performance characteristics.
ANY drive, whether portable or stationary, HDD or SSD, is a CONSUMABLE. He can give up at any moment. If you value the data stored on it, have a backup, or several.
volumes from 1-2 TB are needed approximately.

This is only part of the performance characteristics. Important parameters for many:
- size (someone cares less, someone doesn't care)
- speed (if you use it often, and / or write a lot of small files)
- interface (in terms of convenience and speed)
There are pitfalls with SSD

NAND memory has a peculiarity - if you do not use it for a long time, the charge drains, and data can be lost. The process is accelerated at high temperatures. Put the SSD drive in the sun and don't use it for a year - problems will most likely appear. If you do not store it in the sun / battery, use it periodically, there should be no problems. The figure 1 year is a ceiling, no one will ever tell you exactly when a particular disk may have problems with prolonged non-use.
There is also a nuance in terms of convenience and interfaces. For example, if an SSD with USB-C supports high speeds (all sorts of SS5 \ 10 \ 20) or even Thunderbolt, then you need
support from the host (if your PC, for example, does not have such ports, the SSD will be limited to this)
- good cable
Well, it's a matter of budget. Some Samsung X5 1Tb costs ~35k, but it flies like an airplane.
A SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 1 TB will cost ~ 11k, albeit slower; about the same is the price of the less nimble Samsung T5 1Tb. In the middle between them will be Sandisk Extreme PRO for ~26.6k.
If you dig through the B-brands, you can find cheaper ones. I would take myself, if necessary, a SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 1 TB, it is physically convenient, and the price is reasonable.

Use a flash drive)) since they have large sizes now
