Which database to choose for an ASP.NET MVC website?
Hi all! Need a little help choosing a database for an ASP.NET MVC site. Previously, when developing web projects in C #, I met only with intranet portals and the choice was always obvious - MS SQL Server. And now you need a business card site with a blog part and the ability to edit both blog posts and regular information pages. Headings, page text, side menu lists, in general, all sorts of little things like this should be subject to editing. The site itself is supposed to be located not on the internal server of the company, but somewhere on the hosting. So far, my choice has been SQL Server Compact Local Database. Maybe the community can advise? Thank you!

And what in this case does not suit you the same MS SQL Server? I would just stay on it, everything works well)) All the more for a business card site... )
Specifically for your task does not matter. Choose the ones that are easier/cheaper to work with. Under your task, the spherical "for the future" can be omitted, any popular database server will cope and there will be enough opportunities with a margin.
What for something to fence if there is LocalDB? Native database, highload is not expected, this choice has no minuses.
