Which computer to choose for working with graphics?
An ordinary question, I think it’s already boring to everyone, but, unfortunately, I didn’t find an actual answer to it.
Task:
-selecting a PC or laptop for working with graphics
Scope of application:
-maximum performance when working in Photoshop (processing large photos, complex retouching)
-maximum performance when working in Raw converters
-good performance when working in Illustrator, Indesign (mainly printing design)
- acceptable performance when working in Autodesk Inventor (within the limits of creating simple parts for subsequent printing on a 3D printer)
- acceptable performance when working with video (to indulge)
Nuances:
-I don’t see the need for a large amount of storage (there is a home network storage on which all the information is located, including working), therefore, I see the use of a 120 Gb SSD drive (ideally 200 Gb) as the best solution - no
binding to certain
brands :
-optimal - 1000$
-maximum - 1200$
I understand that the budget may not quite meet the requirements, I'm looking for the best option. Indication of specific models and names is welcome. Thanks in advance.

If you collect the system. Then the base must be i7. They show good performance when working with graphic editors. And the nvidia video card from the quadro series - they are just designed to work with editors (prices are from 6000 to 30000 in rubles, so there is plenty to choose from), and everything else is already in taste and color. So it will not be difficult to meet 1000 greens. Just as important is a good monitor in order to correctly render colors, and this is important when working with graphics. I hope this makes things a little easier.)
Lichto I bought myself a HP dv 6
about a year and a half ago.
From the pros - a powerful processor, a good case, an excellent screen, there are options with a good video card.
Of the minuses - a bit flimsy keyboard, but everything is fine for a year and a half.
I would advise you to take with the smallest hard drive and with a minimum amount of RAM, and then buy more on your own. So the quality will be higher and the price will be lower. I now have 16GB of RAM, 2 hard drives - one of them is ssd. The price went for everything around $ 1200. But this is from ssd to half a terabyte.
Lenovo y510p if Adobe learned how to use multiple graphics cards.
To work with graphics, I would advise you to buy a graphics station from DEPO Computers
There really are several graphics stations, but it's better to immediately upgrade them with a better video card. For example, I inserted a more powerful one into their case without any problems.
