Which computer is suitable as a cheap and relatively productive workstation?

It is necessary to select high-quality (more or less) computers in one project.
Primary requirements:

  • Relatively fast operation of a modern web browser (mostly work in a Web application)
  • Fairly fast work of office applications (OpenOffice)
  • Audio, video playback

The operating system is most likely Linux-like.
The main focus is price / performance.

If you don't need a big screen for an office (that is, you don't need a very decent performance), look towards monoblocks.

Everything is very simple here. Processor - i3 / i5 / i7 (better if sandy / ivy bridge, but the first generations still feel good), ssd. Memory - the more the better. Video - intel hd3000/4000 (integrated into the processor will do for themselves) - quite nimble for office tasks (and fullhd pulls without stuttering).
There are plenty of such cars, such handles are assembled for 10-15 kilorubles in Moscow.

Using an SSD even on not very powerful processors gives a very noticeable increase in visual performance, try it - you won't regret it
