Tell me which cms to choose for a news site? Or is it better to write something of your own ..?
Please do not offer Bitrix, as we are already using it .. right now we are doing a redesign and we want to get away from Bitrix altogether.

Any one you can handle. Naturally, free, with a good community, add-ons, etc.
Only if the money has nowhere to go and you want all sorts of hemorrhoids and binding to the developer.
