Which cdn to choose? And is he needed?

Good evening, habralyudi.

There is a task - to give a lot of gif images from the site, I don’t really want to store it myself.

I need something where I can upload gif files via api, and specify urls like images.mydomain.com/blabla.gif on my site.

My eyes fell on Amazon CloudFront, but I'm not sure if this is exactly what you need. What are the solutions and options? The price is quite critical, because. the project will be budget and for the fan.

Thanks in advance for the information and advice...

Update:
What if we try to store, let's say on Yandex-Photos or Dropbox? Are there any restrictions/risks?

My advice usually sounds like this, if you have more than 100,000 users a day and all of them are fairly evenly scattered across different countries, then yes, you urgently need a cdn, otherwise it makes no sense and it will be more profitable to give everything to nginx from the localhost.

CDN should be chosen based on the geographic location of your visitors. AWS and CloudFlare do not have outlets in Russia, for example. But Ngenix and CDNVideo have coverage for Russia and the CIS .

SDS is not intended for storage, it is intended for distribution. That is, you still have to store (for most SDN).
That is, for storage it is better to look for image hosting or the like.

CDN77 has points in Russia and Ukraine - www.cdn77.com/network Cheaper
than CloudFront - www.cdn77.com/amazon-cloudfront-vs-cdn77

I use WSR CDN, setting up one site is free with the help of support. 900 rubles per month. Honestly, there is a result :) Although I doubted until the last :) Yes, and taking advantage of the moment, they gave me a link to a 10% discount on connection, it can be useful to someone) WELCOME15916 it is possible to connect up to 3 sites on one account for 900 rubles, I think 300 rubles is funny money all the more for commercial sites.
