Which bank to choose for keeping money?

I'm not very savvy in this matter, so I'm interested in your experience, comrades habravchane.

The bottom line is, I love stash. I love to madness that I have some money lying for all sorts of unforeseen technical goodies.

But I can't stand institutions where you have to come, fill out something, talk to someone, then stand in line and other useless waste of time. Therefore, I am looking for a bank where I can replenish my account through any ATM / QIWI / Eleksnety / etc.

The main requirements are:
- Mobile account replenishment without the need to go to the bank's cash desk
- Internet banking.
- Ability to work with PayPal
- Adequate funds for the maintenance of the account up to 2000k per year

What do you say?

PS - Thanks in advance for your replies.

Insufficient list of requirements.
On it you can poke into alpha. You will spend money on maintenance, but in the pluses there is a normal IB, a lot of ATMs, a lot of withdrawals from where, and even throwing money into qiwi, you can then transfer it from your qiwi wallet to alpha. Unlike vtb24, for example, you don’t have to run after cards of one-time codes.
On the other hand, you can poke into a profitable tinkov, for a card balance within 200k - 10% per annum once a month, deposits per year are more profitable than 15% for "ladders", free service, all other things being equal, free withdrawal from kiwi to it up to 60k in month.
Or stop at something in between - the Russian standard. Free service for any, 10% per annum once a month on the card balance when spending only 10k rubles. There are enough ATMs there.
Unfortunately, in all banks you will stumble upon 2 rakes
1) You will not be able to take off all 2kk at once culturally, you will stumble upon something everywhere. In Russian, on commissions above 100k, in alpha and tks for restrictions on the amount of withdrawal per day / month.
2) Don't forget about DIA. It only covers 700k.

Narrow down the choice of banks to the list of banks whose ATMs you see most often.
Throw Sberbank and Rosbank out of there.
Now show us this list.
Replenishment and withdrawal is best done through the bank's own ATMs, because they do not charge commissions (sic! from the savings bank 1%).
Many already have Internet banking, it is necessary to look at convenience.
Many also work with PayPal, you will need a Visa Classic or Mastercard standart card.
The normal content of the account is about 700 rubles. in year.
To store stash indefinitely, open a replenishable-withdrawal deposit. It is usually at a small percentage, but, for example, I fully pay off the service with these percentages.
Himself a client of Alfa-Bank.

It’s a mystery to me - why is everyone so slandering Sberbank? There are a lot of ATMs around, all branches with an electronic queue, all employees are smiling and polite (judging by 5 branches in which I had to resolve issues). Almost all people have Sberbank cards, which means there is an opportunity to make an interest-free transfer.
The only negative that I see is Sberbank online. There are troubles there.
Can someone tell me why you need to go to alphabank?

Save money in the bank? Have you collapsed oak?
If it’s not enough and not for a long time, keep it in cash at home. If there is a lot and for an average term - in euros, in the form of cash, in an anonymous bank safe deposit box (yes, there are such services for providing safe deposit boxes where access is by code and without a passport).
If there is a lot and for a long time, buy gold and hide it in a non-trivial place, by no means at home.

Friends, very interesting question, great comments and good discussion!
Maybe we’ll make our own table in Google Docs, in which we list horizontally (columns) the factors that are of interest to us when comparing banks, and vertically (rows) - banks.
Thus, it will be possible to get a whole picture at a time.

I would recommend Vanguard. You only need to come there twice, fill out the paperwork and pick up the card. Avangard IS is one of the best (technologically more backward than in Alpha), but 99% of the tasks are solved through IS.
It is not a problem to withdraw 2k in Avangard, only it is possible in offices and it is better to reserve the amount in advance.
The cost of maintenance is 700 rubles. (3 accounts + card), with a turnover of more than 15 thousand rubles. per month is free.
The bank's support is excellent.

I recommend Citibank. Everything is there, I like everything. Creepy mobile app, but it works. Almost full functionality on a call, up to reissuing the card (it was delivered to me 5 days after the call - this is not a Sberbank with the first application in case of loss and the second after 40 days (!) If you want to cancel the account). No need to call for 20 minutes, there are no queues in the branches, everything is fine, in general.
Not much in terms of percentage.

Is it up to 2 million? But is it okay that at the moment the DIA insures only 700 thousand of this amount? Those. if the bank says “boom”, then in 2 weeks you will receive 700 thousand of this amount and become a creditor of this bank (the first stage, sort of, but I could be wrong). And then you will wait a long time for the return of the remaining 1.3 million. You may not even wait for the entire amount.
And so - TKS falls under the declared requirements. I myself have been using it for more than 2 years and am wildly satisfied, it has become my main settlement bank.
Pros can be listed upon request.

Some time ago I chose banks for keeping current money and for long-term (9-18 months) savings. I settled on the alpha bank and tinkov, respectively.
1) Alpha.
a) A chic online bank called alphaclick. Comfortable and secure at the same time. At the same time, you can pay for almost anything. I even entered bitcoin in just two iterations automatically.
b) A huge number of ATMs for withdrawals, as interest-free withdrawal agreements have been concluded with several banks, incl. Rosbank.
c) Many terminals and ATMs for replenishment that work stably (hello to Sberbank).
d) Good prices. There is a package of services specifically for those who want to work online. Low cost of service, discounts up to 100% on online transfers and payments.
e) It is possible to accrue interest on current (non-term) deposits, many times larger than "on demand".
Of the minuses, very small interest on term deposits, so it is not suitable for savings.
2) TCS
a) Relatively high interest on term deposits.
b) Completely remote work. A courier leaves for you, at least in a McDonald's near the metro, you sign papers, then work on the Internet and / or by phone.
c) Compensation for non-cash transfers from other banks. In simple terms, for each non-cash transfer to replenish the deposit, they charge a fixed percentage (~ 1-1.5 - I don’t remember exactly), which almost always covers the transfer fee at the sender’s bank (~ 0.3-0.5, but not less than 20 rubles with an amount of up to 900k in alpha)
And I would like to note the following: You are advised above to split money at 700k. This is not entirely true, because if you are planning a term deposit and receive interest from it, then in order to insure the deposit, you must put X, where X + N%<700k, where N is the interest rate on the term deposit, so as not to lose interest when bank collapse.

Because the requirement "Mobile replenishment of the account without the need to go to the bank's cash desk" is the first, then I recommend Svyaznoy Bank.
You can put money in any Svyaznoy, it's like putting money on a phone. Suitable for other requirements too. + 10% bonus per annum on the amount on the card (you can withdraw everything at any time)

From the point of view of the bureaucracy, “to talk to someone, to fill in something,” Alpha is the best. In most cases, nothing more than a signature is required from you.
Unlike Unicred, for example - a sheet of squares that need to be filled in block letters, for any sneeze.

A stash of 2 million with mobile top-up?

If the savings can be used in the near future, then in shares of 700 thousand in banks, the most favorable in terms of interest rate and conditions (tinkov, svyazny, alpha).
If more, then it is worth taking a closer look at non-banking instruments.

I'm really from Kyiv, but I like UniCredit Bank. We have a lot of ATMs with account replenishment, there are many branches in Europe, good Internet and SMS banking. And if there is a deposit, they always call when you need to pick it up. If I'm not mistaken, a good level of reliability.

I use Svyaznoy and TKS bank. From both extremely positive impressions.
+ any ATMs for withdrawing up to 350 thousand rubles per month. With a liaison through branches, withdrawals are unlimited, and Tinkov has free transfers to other banks
+ crediting money through Svyaznoy and Euroset stores, respectively
+ convenient Internet banks, and Tinkov also has a mobile application
+ with a stick and Internet payments without problems for both
+ 10 % on the current account of both (for amounts up to 300 thousand rubles), the messenger has unlimited with a safe account.
+ amounts for annual maintenance are repeatedly covered by% and cashback
+ very adequate staff

And I like Mastbank, because they have human rates and promotions for depositors. "Plastic" again as a gift. Deposits are insured, so I use it and everything suits me. I'm thinking about a foreign exchange deposit. The ruble has not been burning lately.

Well, it is desirable to formulate the requirements more precisely, but in general, MDM-bank will suit your goals well - open a credit card like "Ubank", there is 7% on the balance of your own funds and there is no fee for SMS and service. There are a lot of ATMs around the city, it is tied to a stick without any problems ...
