Which 2TB HDD to choose?

Hello. Need 2 TB hdd, price up to 80-90 dollars.
It will be used to store and watch videos, music, run games (normal home PC).
As far as I understand, they are now all with SMR records. How critical is this for the average user?
Or is it better to buy 1 TB but with a CMR record?
Please advise.

For home file cleaning - absolutely anyone.
SMR/CMR - critical for servers that need a large amount of parallel read / write and load

A 2 TB hard drive can still be found "very canonical", from those times when even the media cache was not used.
Look at those Toshiba drives that are actually Hitachi (not even HGST yet).
For example (only an example, the picture was found faster) Toshiba DT01ACA200, which is actually Hitachi HDS723020BLE640:

DT01ACA200 / HDS723020BLE640 HDD P/N 9F14311

This is not the most recent photo, earlier it was clearly written on the stickers that "this Toshiba HDD is made by Hitachi" . Now the details have been removed, but production has almost certainly changed little. Even the part number 9F14311 remained the same.
