Where to store all product data? In 1C or on the site?

There is an online store with a catalog of goods, the number of goods is about 10,000, each product has a list of its characteristics. Plus a large number of photos, files with instructions, etc. for each product.
It is planned to synchronize data with 1C. The more often the better. Ideally - real-time.
We also plan to integrate with CRM
. Colleagues, help us with the solution of this fundamental issue that has arisen within the company. So the question is, where is it right to store all the data about the goods, 1C or on the site?

1C stores a brief description of the goods (sufficient for an accountant and a storekeeper), stock balances, an article and a base price. Bitrix stores all descriptions and attributes of the product, all links between products, as well as discounts. Prices, stock balances, orders and optional counterparties are synchronized between 1C and sites.
*It is more convenient to store all descriptions on the side of Bitrix, because at least it is more convenient for the SEO and content manager to work on the site, and not in 1SK. Secondly, it is easier to distinguish between rights in Bitrix (so that they can only edit the description of the goods and do not have access to prices, balances and orders). Thirdly, if the SEO or content manager is external employees, then you don’t need to bother with remote access to 1C.
** Write your own data exchange, do not use the standard one. Because in the case of the nomenclature, the exchange is unidirectional - from 1C to the site, but not in the opposite direction. Those. until the product is brought to 1C, it will not get to the site. You can discuss the correctness of this scheme for a long time, but in real life, if the warehouse is dull and does not start the goods, then it’s faster to ask the content manager to start it, and from Bitrix it migrates to 1C (I advise you to add a suffix to the articles entered on the site in this scheme and a sign some)

I would still share - product information in 1C, and all files with photos and instructions on an external server. In the product card, you can write the paths to these files so that when synchronizing, Bitrix understands where to get all this from. Storing files in 1C is a frankly bad decision.

The main platform, as if in the world - 1C, in it all body movements take place. We upload only a copy of this database to the site in the database, which we update with each sync to keep the information up to date.

Faced such structure:
Accounting system on 1C (wholesale/retail/mutual settlements/expenses)
The goods, in a separate base of NSI were overloaded. You can even say the first one, goods that will be sold are brought into it. They were assigned the necessary analytics. A lot of different, for the site, marketers and more. And from this base, a list of goods for the site was formed, with the necessary information.
Bitrix is not an accounting system. And you need to understand where the data will be initially entered.
