Where to start learning PLC?

How to start learning PLC to get a base?
Himself low-voltage-security systems (related specialty). Due to some lack of demand in my field (overqualified), I look at the neighboring ones. We are told: If you know Bolid (the most widely used security and fire alarm system in our country with a large range), then you know other systems, i.e. you have a good base.
What can be considered a base in our country now? Siemens, Aries, Omron?

codesys. Learn the languages ST, LD, FB, CFC and SFC (the latter has 2 types of blocks - IEC and not). IL can be learned, but like Assembler, few people use it.
To develop SFC, you can start learning StateFlow in Matlab.
The controller type is not important. The style of programming is important (the concept of a scan), communication protocols.
Security guards and fire departments have nothing to do with this.

If you know the Bolid, it means that you have a chance to get a job with fire alarms. The car is a great brand for security systems. I don't think you should start with Assembler or Codesys. For everyone who does not have enough experience, qualifications, time and resources to purchase equipment, I recommend universal controllers that have:

  • the ability to program in the FBD language,
  • the presence of a programming environment (free),
  • the ability to work with a virtual PLC
  • free WEB SCADA from the controller manufacturer or the ability to connect to third-party systems
  • the presence of a built-in or external GSM modem.
  • the possibility of scaling the selected automation system
  • availability of documentation and technical support in their native language

The choice of systems depends on the task, and if there is no task, then it is difficult to recommend
