Where to go, what to do?
Hello, friends.
Since there was a large credit of trust in the community, I would like to ask you for advice. The essence of the problem lies in the fact that while working in a rather narrow area (SAP Basis) in the provincial city of Orenburg, I learn about the reduction in staff. Unfortunately, we can say that almost immediately after university I worked in the specified specialty (more than 6 years of experience). Although the work was mainly related to support, the company is quite large, there are quite a lot of systems, and our group did all the projects itself, without involving a third-party consultant, i.e. no experience, but there is. There are no other options in my city. It would be logical to go to the golden-domed one, but for various reasons I don’t want to do this. Although, if you put your hand on your heart, I will only regret the amount of wages.
Hence the dilemma arose on which to feed the family further. He himself graduated from POVTAS of local bottling, although he graduated with honors, but, unfortunately, he did not show fanaticism. At the institute, I did a little programming in C# for a year. I liked it. I also liked the whole Microsoft ecosystem. On the other hand, 1C was underestimated at one time, but I have long understood that in vain, because. I consider it a stable, popular option. I understand perfectly well that in the latter case, 1s is only a tool, and for successful work, you need to know the area well. In pink dreams, it would be great to open some small but ambitious LLC for "serving the population", preferably with a full cycle (survey, design, implementation).
Now I don’t even know, if taken, then for what. Now looking at how far everything has gone further, it becomes a little scary. Again, the technology must be chosen so that it has some kind of reserve, it is in demand. I never thought about frontends, to be honest. Perhaps the wrong idea has been hammered into the head: page layout, again the same tedious and boring CSS, HTML, knowledge of Photoshop, etc. Most likely, my ideas are not relevant at all.
It turned out a lot of water, but as it is. In general, your opinion is very necessary, bearing in mind the market, the entry threshold, comfort (after all, you should like what you do). I had fun with tests from HH, if someone is not too lazy to look, maybe draw a conclusion within the framework of the problem and voice it, I will be grateful.

Go to Moscow, you don’t have to limit yourself to some strange motives that don’t really have any value, and then go further from Moscow, there are a lot of good cities in the world.
1C is a normal option for a SAP specialist. The subject areas are the same, the platforms are different. In SAP, as far as I know, consultants do not do development, but developers consult. In 1C, you often have to combine several roles, although there is the same division.
There should be plenty of work for a 1C nickname everywhere, and normal specialists are always needed.
You didn't mention the back-end - you didn't think about it
By the way, it is not necessary to go to Moscow. You can find good deals, for example, in St. Petersburg . It seems to me that Moscow will be more pleasant, in any case.
I have a similar situation moved from one region to Krasnodar. I have experience in C#/.NET, but here it is required to a minimum and good skills are required. I was especially surprised that there are vacancies in Java with a salary of 80 tr and above, and again very high skills are required, it seems that they are waiting for specialists from Moscow. It seems to me that it is impossible to gain such experience here. And there are enough vacancies in web development - either to do everything (front and backend (only php)) or front (html / css / javascript / framework, etc.) the salary is also not high. I'm not attracted to the web at all. 1C is in demand and there are a lot of vacancies. So now I'm considering the next direction - 1C + MS SQL and in the future to try Android or RoR remotely.
