Where to go as a UX/IU designer?

I passed the exam in mathematics, computer science and Russian, now I work as a web designer at a distance. Where is it better to enter a faculty related to ux-design and web development in St. Petersburg / Moscow? Will this diploma be useful when applying to a company or should I choose specialized courses? Everyone says that in Russia there are problems with IT education, but for the sake of experience, I want to learn somewhere. In the future, I want to develop in ux and work with augmented reality.

I'll tell you how I see all this, at least in my city (Rostov-on-Don), perhaps in MSC, St. Petersburg, things are different.
In such a profession, a tower in your field of activity will be a pleasant (and sometimes significant) addition. But by no means fundamental. I honestly did not meet the faculty: UX / UI design. These are all offshoots from deeper sciences (graphics and design in your case or something like that). Just like programming. Well, they study C ++, C #, Pascal, etc., affect PHP, but this does not mean that you have learned it and you are a highly qualified specialist. For the most part, self-taught people have a good chance to prove themselves .
Therefore, follow this path yourself and enter something related to graphics, etc., something that can improve you as an "artist" in a professional plan.
As for courses, etc. Any more or less normal university has such courses, as a rule they are held by sponsors, where there is always an opportunity to show oneself and, possibly, find a good employer. Do not be lazy to study the stands, there is always information about some competitions, courses, even software benefits.
But, as I said above, you should choose something related to design / drawing, etc. After all, it is unlikely that when you enter the Faculty of History, you will see information about some hackathons and other events at the stand.

life hack - do 3D. There you still have to master the two-dimensional design, which is easy to pull up on your own without any education - there are a lot of resources on the internet. But three-dimensional is much harder and more interesting, and there is an order of magnitude more money there.

I myself have long been looking for an educational institution with a higher education related to current design topics, but in the end there is only one scoop around. By the time you enter and graduate from the university, all knowledge will already be outdated. Therefore, I realized that the best education in IT is self-learning, which you need to get from articles, events, intensives, and practices. There is no other way out.
I recently found distance learning for several years in design - sredaobuchenia.ru I didn’t take it myself, so I can’t say anything about the quality, but the teachers are designers, art directors and heads of the redmadrobot mobile development studio - and this company is listed as one of the best companies in mobile application development and design. There is also the British Higher School of Design, they also teach well, and there are so many online trainings.
Now I am a UX / UI designer myself and I am working on one of the applications that is related to augmented reality ( https://peakvisor.com) - you won’t be taught this at the university or in courses, you need to get a job in a company that deals with such technologies.
If in the future you want to move to another country to work, it is better to choose a university with a state-recognised diploma, only such diplomas are more or less accepted by foreign employers.
My personal advice is to enter a faculty not related to IT, for yourself, for development, for example, related to English and self-study all your free time, work remotely or try to work in the office. This is the only way to get good results.
