Where to find the location of the CONFIG.SYS file in windows 8?

Everywhere they write that the CONFIG.SYS file is stored in c/, but it is not there, a checkmark was set to display hidden icons, but I still do not see this file.
Can I somehow see it or is there no such file on Windows?

This file is a relic of MS-DOS, where the initial OS settings were stored in it. Modern Windows does not need it for a long time. When there was still a DOS subsystem in Windows, there was an analogue of config.sys. Now even DOS programs on Windows cannot be launched, which means that there is no need for a file.

This file is a holdover from the ms-dos days. It was kept for compatibility reasons, but it has not been used for a long time and has been completely removed in modern systems. Why do you need him?!

Where to find the location of the CONFIG.SYS file in windows 8?

What???
It was no longer in win7, and even in winXP it was present in the form of an ephemeral file of 0 bytes in size. This is an ancient artifact from the early 90s, which was part of the core of the msdos system (autoexec.bat, config.sys, io.sys and msdos.sys).
