Has anyone seen a special hdd-case in Runet stores to replace the CD in a regular laptop? I want to install hdd + ssd.
I saw such a case only for macbooks. Googling didn't really help...

I took it on eBay , I was guided only by the SATA-SATA connector and the disk form factor 2.5. True, it was not without a fly in the ointment, in my model (Dell Vostro 3450) SATA1 is used for the CD, so it’s not comme il faut to insert an SSD there, but the usual hard drive at 5400 rpm runs quite well.

Searched by keywords Optibay, on ebay for example. Available for SATA or PATA. Macbooks do not fundamentally differ from ordinary laptops in this regard, that is, such a “poppy” pocket is suitable for other laptops. I bought myself a Chinese clone of optibay on ebay

I bought it for myself on eBay, but I was not satisfied: on the laptop, the CD was attached with a screw to a special mount in the form of a letter r.
And this part was missing in the purchased case. There aren't even holes to screw it in. As a result, the case with the screw is not fixed, and can fly out of the laptop at the first inaccurate movement.
And look at the connectors carefully, even though I had a screw and Satashny in the laptop, the CD was IDE.
