Where to backup app settings in android?

There is an application, it has the ability to make a backup copy of the settings (they are written to two or three files). Question: what is the best way to save these files? I know that OS developers recommend writing data to /Android/data/package_name/, but this folder is deleted if you uninstall the application. And that doesn't suit me. I would not want to write to the root of the memory card. Maybe there is a better option?

How many applications have seen, everyone makes a backup to the root of the memory card. It annoys me.
