Where should the future enikey worker go?
Hello
Since early childhood, I loved computers and everything connected with them I decided to try myself as an enikey worker
. At the moment I am studying in the 11th grade and I plan to enter a technical school because I won’t be able to go to a university.
in parallel with my studies, I want to work in a service center to fill my hand
. Do you think I'm doing the right thing by going to a technical school and not to a university?

Personally, I am of the opinion that it is better to have a higher education than not to have:
1) if you have a desire to learn, there are good chances to meet talented teachers at the university who will help steer you in the right direction.
2) at the university, teachers are trying to instill long-suffering systems thinking and the scientific method, which is very important for a techie, especially for an
enikei - you also need to learn smartly :)
and more expensive (I’m not talking about buying a diploma, I think everything is clear with this). In large offices, they often simply refuse to increase if there is no higher education, especially for managerial positions.
The technical school gives applied knowledge, the university - fundamental. After training, your task is to study the details in the area that interests you, but in my opinion, it is much better to have a broad basic knowledge.
PS And yes, if you want to become an admin, it's better to immediately try to become an admin, enikey as an intermediate stage can drag on for a long time.
By itself:
1) In the university, mostly theory, in college, practice.
2) For 10 years + experience and a whole work book, I was asked for a diploma 1 time. But there will be hundreds of test tasks.
3) IT is not taught in Russia. A couple of universities in Moscow, a couple in St. Petersburg, a few others. And that is weak. It makes no sense at all to go to Anikea. They will teach what is outdated, at the end you will pass certification courses as a bonus (the question is whether it is worth waiting for 5 years?)
4) Admins appreciate specialized certification courses. And by the way, yes, an anikey is like a cleaning lady - her hands are in the dirt, her ass is in the soap. In the head "Press any key" (hence the name). Money is average, growth is only in large firms.
Bottom line: go anywhere (you can not IT, but only technical) and for anything, but so that study does not distract from ... Studying is normal. Save money for courses, study materiel and google. Find a job and gain experience and seniority, THIS IS THE ONLY THING INTERESTING TO THE EMPLOYER.
No.
In large offices, the hiring process is formalized, everything is simple there - there is no tower - go for a walk. In smaller offices - they may not be asked, but in such offices there are usually only a couple of people. At first, working in such offices is more interesting, since the tasks are more diverse, but the smaller the office and the more diverse the tasks, the higher the level of cheating (which is typical not only for IT, but in general).
There is no specialty "administrator" in Russia - as a rule, it is enough to have a higher technical education, sometimes, but not always, preference is given to a "relatively specialized" education - automation and computer technology.
Specifically, Enikey doesn’t need education at all - but in this case he won’t go anywhere further, and crawls under the tables until retirement :) If you develop further in IT and don’t consider freelancing, you won’t get anywhere without higher technical education.
The employer is different for the employer. The thicker the office, the more carefully it reads the resume
1. When getting a job, they will ask for a diploma about the tower + this will affect the salary with the same duties as a techie. Alas.
2. After 2-3 years, they will listen to a person with a diploma, to a techie ... well, if only they are completely lucky with the authorities.
Therefore, in the university. At the same time, get a job as some "twisted-pair feeder" and gain experience. Put the acquired knowledge into practice. If possible, attend any near-profile seminars, courses, webinars.
A degree and knowledge are two very different things.
Employer Diploma.
Knowledge for better performance.
Well, if you still like it... ))) Good luck.
