Where/how to download Old versions of Visual Studio (community)?

When I try to download older versions (VS 2013 for example), I get a message

Unfortunately, no downloadable files could be found.

Is it really now only on third-party resources to look for working links?

If you join Visual Studio Dev Essentials (it's free), then previous versions become available for download.
