Where does Google Analytics get users with uuid v4 instead of regular GA?

I noticed that in User Explorer in Google Analytics for almost a month, users began to appear with an identifier very similar to uuid v4, and not to the usual _ga: 1.2.xxxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy

What is this anomaly, could it be due to the fact that users come from paid advertising?
