Where do movie sites store videos?
Take, for example, the notorious my-hit.ru . I don’t think that all of their videos are licensed (correct me if I’m wrong), which, nevertheless, does not prevent them from sitting safely in the .ru domain zone and existing quietly. The question is: how do such sites manage not to have problems with copyright? And what servers do they store the videos on to be safe?

This site specifically stores its films, according to params.
<param name="flashvars" value="config={"key":"#$fd5e85af5c649a2734f","quality":"autohigh","clip":{"autoPlay":true,"bufferLength":10,"scaling":"fit","url":"http://a-14.my-hit.ru/data2/previews/47.flv?id=c7b700ee9a3458545ce539f090b8f031","provider":"lighttpd"},"plugins":{"lighttpd":{"url":"/scripts/flowplayer/flowplayer.pseudostreaming-3.2.11.swf"},"controls":{"backgroundColor":"#022D96","buttonColor":"#FFB65A","timeColor":"#FFB65A","durationColor":"#FFB65A","sliderColor":"#022D96"}},"canvas":{"background":"#000000","backgroundGradient":"none"},"contextMenu":["my-hit.ru video player"],"playerId":"hit-video","playlist":[{"autoPlay":true,"bufferLength":10,"scaling":"fit","url":"http://a-14.my-hit.ru/data2/previews/47.flv?id=c7b700ee9a3458545ce539f090b8f031","provider":"lighttpd"}]}">

And how do you think they are doing with the legislation? Or is it easier in Ukraine?
I won’t say about the site in the topic, but I have seen many times that some similar sites embed videos from VKontakte. Many sites with music are in fact just a wrapper of services on top of the same music from VKontakte.
Actually, the latter lives entirely in the Russian Federation and does not observe any special problems with the law.
Many providers (even federal ones) have both file-sharing services and torrent trackers in their networks, in which both music and films are distributed. Again, punishment for copyright does not come to them and everyone lives in dignity.
Again, the same Rutreker deletes distributions on demand and lives on quietly. At the same time, copyright holders are asked to remove only fresh films, leaving old ones on distribution. The logic here is not clear to me, but apparently no one minds :)
Previously, servers in Ukraine were used for similar content, about a year ago a Ukrainian hoster transferred all such content to the Netherlands.
