I am a humanitarian, I worked in advertising for 11 years, but now I decided to go to IT. At the initial stage, it is interesting to create templates for WordPress in order to sell them on Themeforest.
I am an experienced user, PS and Mac, I have seen the code many times, I know the name of the languages ​​​​and where they are most often used. I just can’t figure out in myself where exactly to start learning so that I can create topics?

Immediately learn to typeset regular html pages. Then you can take the finished layout and divide it into small parts in a new Wordpress theme. Basically, these are header, footer, page, single and, according to the documentation, display the necessary info from the admin panel or take screencasts in Russian. Good luck !
