Sigma doesn't even sell wholesale, and the SDK costs many thousands of $$$. The firmware of the sigma is encrypted and it will not be possible to rearrange it from a commercial device.
Realtek is simpler, but still there are too many “buts”. If it's cheaper, you can look for a ready-made board. If you want to solder, then I will not advise anything. Generally IMHO sheepskin is not worth it. Soldering can lead to software problems.
