Where can I find the plot of the game?

My brother and I decided to cut something on Unity3D on vacation.
The engine was chosen, the style of the game was chosen, the plot was invented, the goals that could be achieved in 2 weeks were outlined. And they even sketched some pieces of levels, but there was a problem with a holistic vision of the game world.
Accordingly, the idea arose to find some science fiction writer who liked to describe life in detail, and the task of his heroes is to find non-standard solutions when problems arise (breakdown / rescue / attack).
Can someone remember the writer and his works, where can I get inspiration from?

I recommend to look at librusek works and authors. There they are divided clearly into genres and classes, so it is quite possible to find good options. It's better, of course, to ask people on literary forums
