Where can I find old intel microcode patches and will it increase processor performance?

Remember more than a year ago Specter, Meltdown vulnerabilities. Then a patch came out and performance dropped.
I set myself the goal of getting the most out of my current config and want to get rid of this patch. I saw advice that you just need to remove that XD update. It's super obvious that this is stupid, because the microcode patch is already in the processor and it exists independently of the operating system.
I need to find the patches that were before this update. Install and compare whether it has become better, and if not better, then go back. After all, how much time has passed, microcode patches could come out that optimized the instructions, and what the processors lost with the patch to fix the vulnerability was won back.

It can be loaded from the operating system at boot, as it is done in Linux, for example, so there is something in it.
