Where can I find layout requirements for psd templates for web designers?

I remember when I was looking for a layout designer for a project, in the profile of one of the freelancers I came across a link to a site where the requirements for psd page layouts that layout designers require for designers were described.
These requirements seemed quite reasonable to me, but now that I need these requirements, I cannot find a link to a resource with these requirements.
So, does anyone know of websites that lay out the layout requirements for psd templates for web designers (and/or others)?
It seems to me that the words "psd" and "pretty" appeared in the title, although memory may fail. At least I couldn't find the site by searching for these words.

It? Link is dead

  1. The minimum layout width is 1000px. The design should take into account the possibility of comfortable viewing of the site at a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. with user access to all navigation elements.
  2. To ensure correct scaling of site blocks on monitors with different resolutions, it is not advisable to use large background images, the total width of which will exceed 1000px. Of course, if the background image can be reproduced without visible distortion (repeat-x, repeat-y), then this limitation does not apply.
  3. When creating a layout, you should not abuse handwritten, gothic and other exotic fonts. Any non-system fonts used in the layout should be sent to the layout designer along with the psd layout file itself and, if necessary, an explanatory note.
  4. The use of exotic, artistic fonts automatically entails the rasterization of this font, turning it into a static image. Therefore, such fonts should be used only for static, non-changing text: a logo, non-changing names of sections of the site.
  5. It is also necessary to ensure the possibility of correct (without prejudice to the site design) display of the site's interactive content by any of the system fonts within the family specified for this content (serif, sans-serif, monospace).
  6. Design elements and / or functional blocks of the site, overlapped by other elements, text or dynamically changing content must be performed on separate layers (layers).
  7. The naming of layers should be logical and reflect the essence of the image contained on the layer. It is desirable to name the layers with English words or transliteration of Russian words with Latin characters.
  8. Layers with objects that are parts of the same functionality, block, or combined according to another attribute, it is desirable to combine into folders. The folder naming principle is the same as for layers.
  9. In order to avoid splitting the psd-layout into many dozens of layers (there were such precedents), you should not place each object on a separate layer if its context (environment, background) on the site does not change.
  10. Guides must be used:
    • to indicate the alignment of several elements along one line or to emphasize other features of their relative position;
    • to designate margins (margins) and paddings ( paddings ) of design elements and / or site content;
  11. You should not leave invisible layers in the layout that were used during the development of the layout, but were not included in its final version. If there is an invisible layer in the layout, then it is assumed that its content will be used in one way or another on the site. If necessary, the use of this layer can be described in an explanatory note.
  12. Adjustment layers are also not desirable, as they have no independent meaning. They should be combined with the main layers.
  13. An explanatory note is attached to the layout, which contains the following information:
    • site layout type (rubber, fixed, mixed) indicating the absolute and/or relative sizes of the site's functional blocks;
    • the desirability or undesirability of scrolling (scrollbars) in case the amount of content does not fit in the area allotted to it. (i.e. hide out of place content or add scrolling);
    • the behavior of dynamic elements and content controls with reference to the corresponding layers of the psd layout. Including the appearance of links and interactive buttons for various states (hover, active, visited);
    • any other information that is not obvious from the psd layout itself.
  14. In case of difficulty, an explanatory note can be drawn up by the layout designer during his conversation with the designer - the author of the layout or another representative of the customer.
