There was a need to make SMS alerts for a driving school, for example, when a car is broken and students need to be notified that classes are cancelled.
The functionality is not great, create groups, contacts in them and the ability to send SMS to all members of this group or selectively select several participants and also send them SMS messages.

Specifically, I have not seen the SMS notification module for directed mailings on lists. But if you enter from the side of the driving school, then signmeup.ru has SMS notifications when classes are canceled / rescheduled for students / instructor / manager. It might be easier to move in with them. There, it seems, is a complete system with all sorts of goodies, including schedules, statistics, payment, online registration, full access via the web to students / instructors / managers. I used it to sign up for classes from my smartphone when I studied that year. Extremely convenient. Compared to other schools and phone records, mine was just 21st century versus 19th century.
