Where can I find a free UI designer for open source projects?
I sometimes make free and open applications for different platforms. And as is often the case with open source projects, there is a problem with normal design. It's good when there are designers among the users of the project who help in some way, but if the community is small, then this is a problem.
Now, for example, I am writing an application for a pebble clock, and the problem has shown itself to be especially acute - the platform is not widespread, it is not very standard (low screen resolution, very limited color palette). That is, any available UI patterns or templates cannot be used.
Where is it even possible to look for a designer who will take on a project for his portfolio?

Isn't Pebble dead yet?
It’s difficult with mobile — if this is not a commercial project, then the developer will most likely save resources as much as possible and do everything natively and quickly. And this automatically means that you cannot put such a case in the portfolio.
Optimal - download a free one or buy a UI kit for 20 bucks and assemble the desired interface yourself.
And this is not the same watch, the manufacturer of which, as recently announced, was absorbed by someone, the product will be supported for another year, and then everything will be fucked up?
There was an article on Habré. But I could confuse with someone, because I'm not very interested in the topic.
I once saw a project where designers and programmers fill their portfolios on a volunteer basis. It even seemed to be active there.
here, I googled it from memory: https://itv.te-st.ru/

I assume will-change: transform is present. You can also try adding pointer-events: none to the list for the duration of the animation, as in that hack with smooth scrolling. If it does not help, then it is worth considering that from a large list, when moving in a horizontal direction, some of the groups will not be visible. Accordingly, you can animate separately those that are visible (with a slight delay for each next one - as the notification center is cleared on the bucket), and the rest (hidden) can simply be inserted into the right place when the animation is completed for the first.
