Where can + 5 minutes of time come from?
there is a server on esxi... the time synchronization service on ntp servers is included. virtual machines are spinning on the hypervisor... and everywhere!!! plus five minutes. what the hell? 0_o anyone have any ideas?

the same problem happened to me,
also a virtual machine with OpenSUSE, but in XEN
the time difference is +5 minutes. ntpdate doesn't help, after a few seconds ntpd goes back +5 minutes.
restarting the ntpd daemon does nothing. I can't find any other problems.
Only reboot helps.
After reboot everything works without problems as it should.
Couldn't find the reason why this happens. it can work fine for months, and at one point the time goes forward by +5 minutes
