Where and how to go for an internship abroad?
Probably already a loaded question. But I don't even know where to look.
Studied in the magistracy in St. Petersburg. I want to go for an internship somewhere abroad. Purpose: experience and travel.
I looked at google internships and realized that I was stupid, but unfortunately there are no other ideas where and how to look. Let me know if anyone has experience

I am speaking from the experience of a good friend.
He had two ways: to look for "Russian" companies operating abroad, or to look for local ones offering internships.
"Russian" companies are a whole brood. Someone in Thailand, someone in the UAE, someone in Eastern Europe. There were only a couple of the latter, but no one offered an internship. Here we are talking only about those companies that keep their main facilities abroad and recruit from Russian applicants, and not those that have branches, since they, for the most part, do not take interns and employees from Russia for work vacancies.
Actually the first way has disappeared, after a short search, as the criterion was the US or Europe.
There were several problems with the second way. (Next, I will describe step by step what he did. Some stages, of course, are parallel, but in general it will be clear)
1. Learn English to the level of Intermedia and get the appropriate certificate.
2. Walk through the exchanges in the Russian expanses, because. there are vacancies and internship offers from foreign companies. (the option did not burn out, what was not suitable)
3. Write lists of companies of interest
4. Based on resume templates accepted abroad, write your own. (Based on experience, it turned out that European companies responded more to a text summary in the body of the letter, and American companies responded more to a graphic one with a link to the interactive version, i.e. to the site)
I will not describe the negotiation process, because. I only have general ideas about it. I understood only one thing, it is very important to convince them that you are with them forever, even if this is not the case and is preparing for a large number of failures, sometimes after the second round of interviews.
However, if you need an unpaid internship, then it is much easier with it, though if you are a university student who is part of some international consortium. I don’t know the exact topic, but in Europe, the employer, for each unpaid intern, receives benefits, so such interns are kept by whole broods.
Foreign companies perceive an internship as a "work for 3-4 months" and they interview in the same way as full-fledged employees. And usually on recommendation. If your scientific instructor cannot provide you with this, then there is no way. This is his direct responsibility. Correct "understood that stupid." And it already depends on how long you can run a marathon for the whole day of the Olympiad.
