When you turn on the computer does not boot beyond the motherboard screen ( F2 and DEL Bios, ESC BOOT Menu )?
Yesterday, I stumbled upon the Linux Mint XFCE distribution, I already had Windows 7 installed, I decided to install Mint XFCE next to it, took a bootable USB flash drive, plugged it in, during installation I specified partitions from the guide on the network, primery /boot(ext2), /root( ext4), Extends ... Logical /home, /var, /opt ! Everything seems to be correct! I rebooted, went into Mint XFCE, apt update, upgrade, nvidia install new driver, reboot, and IT STARTED HERE, THE SYSTEM DOES NOT BOOT BEYOND THE MOTHERBOARD SCREEN ( F2 and DEL ASUS bios, ESC Boot Menu ) !!!
My actions:
1. Disconnected the system unit from everything, opened it, pulled out all the wires, cooler, video card, HDD, battery on the board, and left it for 20 minutes
2. I turned it on again and the same stupor on the motherboard screen (F2 and DEL BIOS, ESC Boot Menu) I can’t enter the system and it also doesn’t let me enter the BIOS, the keyboard works!
3. I only unplugged the HDD disk and I was able to enter BIOS and boot from a Live USB Linux Mint XFCE
4. Tried putting in a Windows 7 DVD, unplugged the HDD and was able to boot into windows 7, then plugged the wires back into the HDD, continued installation to register DISKPART -> list disk -> select disk HDD disk number 0 -> clean -> convert mbr -> exit -> exit ! But the list disk command did not show the HDD as if it was not there or not visible
5. Now I plan to go to my uncle, he had like 2 HDD 250gb and 1TB to take his disk with the system and I HOPE that he has an adapter for 2 HDD disk and not from the power supply wire, I don’t have a 2nd wire from power to HDD is not an adapter
6. Another option is to take a USB cable for a hard drive and try to connect it not through the motherboard, but through the USB port
7. My observation, earlier I installed linux without creating and not marking partitions, most often everything is simple in ubuntu/xubuntu it was /root, /boot, swap, /home and that's it and I didn't change /boot from ext4 to ext2, but now I read that it is better to format /boot in ext2, and when installing Manjaro, I indicated only /root (label root) /boot (Label boot) /home (I didn’t indicate anything as a label) everything loaded there were no problems and no folders were opened, but now having decided to divide into 3 primery and 3 logical partitions /boot/, /root, swap logical /opt, /var, /home, SOME FOLDERS OPENED IN THIS SEQUENCE,
IT WAS NOT THERE BEFORE, and even after installation I was able to enter Windows and decided to enter disk management and stupidly could not log in, there was a connection to the service, which I don’t remember, and disk C did not open it 1 in the system!
Thank you all in advance!

Can you enter the BIOS itself when you connect the disk? (
If there are problems with the disk at the hardware level, your computer most likely would not turn on in principle
), Look at the indicators when loading the disk.
To start.
1. Disconnect the wires from the HD and pinch the sata and power connectors with your fingers (It often happens that the plastic dries out from old age and the contact is not stable, hence glitches)
2. Switch the disk to another sata connector on the motherboard.
3. Connect the drive with a different power connector.
4. Replace sata cable. (for example, from a CD drive)
Well, in the end it could just be a coincidence and your HD died.
