When pressing ctrl + w in Chrome, all tabs sometimes close, how to fix it?

And this happens quite often. It’s especially bad when you applaud something on a dropbox, and it’s once for you - and it’s all closed. He didn't even ask "Are you sure?"

Tabs with downloads need to be fixed, verified by bitter experience.

Maybe you accidentally press Ctrl+Q instead of Ctrl+W?

No, that's for sure Ctrl+W
Locking tabs doesn't help at all - it just closes the entire browser

So after all, Ctrl+W is closing the active tab ( in both Windows and Linux ).
It is also possible to accidentally close a tab with Ctrl+Shift+W on Windows or close the browser with Ctrl+Shift+Q on Linux.

I have the same problem! Started relatively recently. I do NOT confuse the buttons, just periodically when you press Ctrl + W, the "There was a failure" window pops up and all that remains is to click on the chrome restart button. Reinstalling didn't help. I did not install left extensions.
