When loading Windows, after the Asus logo there is a pause (black screen - 20-30 seconds). What to do?
Hello. I describe the essence of the problem.
laptop ASUS N56VB
when the computer boots, the ASUS logo appears, then a black screen appears (20-30 seconds, sometimes up to 2 minutes), and then only the Windows login window.
Video of the process can be found at the link ( [email protected]) -
Initially, Windows 8 was installed, followed by an upgrade to 8.1
. I decided to reinstall Windows. Tried various assemblies:
Windows 8.1 x64 - the problem is observed on a clean system, right out of the box -> after installing the drivers - the same thing.
Windows 10 x64 - the problem is observed on a freshly installed system -> after installing the drivers - the same thing.
Windows 8 x64 - the problem is observed, as in previous cases.
Actions taken:
1. Update all drivers - did not help .
2. Installing drivers from the manufacturer's website - did not help . Equivalent to rolling back to previous versions.
3. Changing the BIOS settings in various variations - did not help .
Here are more details:
• Disabling Fast Boot
• Disabling Launch CMS
• Disabling Security Boot with erasing keys
And various combinations using these parameters.
3.1 Updating the BIOS to the latest version - did not help .
Formuchane, just a cry from the heart! I don't know what to do anymore. Iron is good, but it loads like a cramp last. Sorry for the expression.
Currently installed Windows 8 x64

And you change the background from black to another color. Maybe it's not an extinct screen, but a background ...
My screen also goes blank during the boot process and turns on already at the moment the desktop is opened, but I have two monitors connected and it first tries to show it on the monitor turned off. And what about the laptop can be x / s. Look in the BIOS for the order of determining video cards, for example.
See if there is a search settings in the BIOS, try setting it to 0 or 5 seconds
20-30 seconds of loading is the normal boot time for a laptop from HDD, the black screen hides the process of loading the system, put the SSD boot will be reduced to 10-15 seconds
