When I pass by the router, the wi-fi connection is lost

If you walk past the router, wi-fi drops. What could be the reason?

Check the condition of the socket and plug. Sometimes they flow from heat, making the contact extremely unstable.
The situation is quite rare, but it is necessary to check, among other checks.

A similar thing is going on with a friend, there in the xDSL ZTE kitchen there is a rotor distributing the Internet over Wi-Fi, and in the opposite room of the apartment, behind the monolithic walls, the channel constantly drops as soon as someone roams in the kitchen. The reason is banal - the rotor has a super-lousy internal antenna. He has no externals.
Isn't it?

Perhaps you have a phone in your pocket or just high energy, ordinary interference, specifically in your router, leading to a complete signal drop.

Are you sure you have correctly identified the source of the problem? At one time, my mouse was very buggy (Logitech Mx Revolution sample of 2006): the cursor twitched, clicks did not work. And dismantled, and cleaned, and whatever else he did. Then it turned out that glitches are due to a router standing 20 cm away, when something heavy goes over wi-fi: streaming video, torrents, etc.

then it’s easier to replace the antenna ... though you’ll have to torment yourself a little with the specifications in order to choose a more or less nimble antenna. I would put an external one by screwing it to the router (this is if the antenna is really internal, and if it has the ability to come unfastened without problems).
Unfortunately, to ensure quality, you will have to think about the length of the wire for the antenna, and its internal resistance ... but it should be worth it)
