How to use a phone or tablet just like a wireless adapter (wifi)?

We are looking for a way how a device connected via usb can give the OS its wifi adapter to use.
Getting access to the Internet is not a problem, but with such a connection, the virtual adapter is always a simple ethernet.
You need a way to get an adapter with the wireless extension.
Here in the last post the same thoughts are described, if interested.
