If a .com domain is said to be released today, but it hasn't been released yet, when will it be released?

Released today or expiry date today?
International domains have 4 periods - 30-40 days after the expiry date, when they can be renewed at the regular price, then 6 days of deletion, after another 30 days of renewal at the premium price, and another 5 days of final deletion from the registry.
Some registrars may have different dates. Ask your registrar for a specific domain
