When connecting the SSD, it writes “Auto-detecting AHCI PORT 1 ..” and freezes, who faced it?

P5B-Deluxe when connecting an SSD, a message is written when loading Auto-detecting AHCI PORT 1 .. and hangs. You can't even enter the BIOS unless you disconnect the SATA cable.
Everything works fine in IDE mode, but everyone advises turning on AHCI because they say that an SSD will work better. Is it so? Or work further in the IDE on the SSD?
Having disconnected the SSD, I went into the BIOS and saw that the JMicron SATA / PATA Controller setting appeared.
Maybe the mother is old?

Regarding the error - it's not clear, maybe there are problems with the disk, maybe with a mat. pay, you have to look.
Regarding AHCI - in any case, it doesn't matter if your SSD or HDD works better in AHCI.
Because the IDE does not support many useful things. For example things like NCQ and TRIM.
It is possible to work with SSD in IDE mode, but TRIM will not work, so it will be necessary to leave over-provisioning (an unallocated area inaccessible to the user), otherwise performance will drop dramatically, and it will work extremely slowly.

The system worked, everything was fine. And here at one fine moment a similar situation. BIOS hangs on Auto-detecting AHCI PORT.
So far I haven't found a solution either.
