Help me choose a disk storage system compatible with conventional (non-branded) disks

There is an old Dell MD3000 in stock
Filled with 50/50 SAS/SATA drives.
SAS for user data, SATA for Backup.
It is planned to fully load the MD3000 with SAS 600G 3.5" and move the backup
to a new inexpensive (100 tr.) disk array 2U 3.5".
The main requirement is to normally digest ordinary disks (without special firmware, labels, etc.)

I use Qnap TS-859U-RP+ storage system . It may not be the most powerful and sophisticated, but as a “budget” option, it’s even nothing. I look, new models on Core i3 have already appeared (mine is on Atom). Compatible disks are specified in the specification, but these are recommended (long life), I think there should be no problems with any other disks. Technical support, by the way, is adequate!

Qnap TS-859U-RP + on the market costs about 80 tr.
8 disks is not enough.
HP D2600 LFF Disk Enclosure (AJ940A) costs about 125 tr. (If it's just a storage system and not an expansion module)
For the price, Qnap is not far from HP. It is not clear where the savings are here?

Any SuperMicro platform for the required number of disks, controller, low-end CPU and operating system to your liking.
Of course, this is not a storage system, but for that kind of money ... Go to 3nity.ru, where comrades can suggest something (they periodically sell storage systems that are “not well-known” and, accordingly, cheap), but they will also be against non-native disks.

If we consider storage systems from A-Brend, then you should immediately forget about "non-native" disks.
And what do you want to get from the storage system?
Here, as in a joke - So you checkers, or go?

All MD3xxx only work with Dell drives (more specifically, drives with Dell firmware). Only if you connect the MD1000 directly to a server with a PERC6E RAID controller, you can use non-Dell drives.
MD3000 compatible drives can be found in MD3000 Systems Support Matrix
