When an advertising company is suddenly canceled

You have agreed that you will conduct an advertising campaign for one organization in a popular community on LiveJournal. The goal is to draw attention to the upcoming event, i.e. deadlines are specific and visible. On day X, everything hung - what to do? Explain that it is not your fault, try to focus on other social media?

I'm for reputation! With bad recommendations and reviews, your ceiling is very low, and some projects are completely unattainable.

My colleagues and I found ourselves in a similar situation. Therefore, my nerves around this ddos with LJ also play a little trick.
We offered the client 3 options:
a) we put pressure on other social media;
b) we provide additional services (for example, we wrote a thematic article for Wikipedia);
c) offered to shift the advertising campaign for a few days.
As a result, we decided to implement a little of each item.
The main thing in this situation is friendly communication.
Write to the customer like this: due to circumstances beyond our control, “so-and-so” happened, but in this case we offer you the following options for solving the problem, what do you choose?

I think the client will understand you if you explain everything. LiveJournal is dead, even if you manage to run a campaign there at some point, it's money wasted.

Discounts on other resources + explanation of the situation (with the possibility of a demonstration); or postpone the campaign for a short time (if the deadlines are not working) and, as an apology, a discount again)
