What will be the income tax in Turkey when receiving income from the United States?
Good afternoon.
I am considering the option of moving to Turkey with further registration of a residence permit. Maybe someone here already had this experience.
Will I be taxed if I receive money from the US to a Turkish bank card as a contractor (much like a freelancer)? And if so, what income tax will I have to pay?
The information on the internet is different. Either you don’t have to pay taxes at all, or up to 40 percent.

Hello, now everything is not very good in Turkey, starting with the fact that in order to get a residence permit, you need to find a region where foreigners do not exceed 25% of the population. At the moment, Antalya, Mugla and Izmir do not issue residence permits to foreigners, as far as I know. This is infa from the point of view of the law. Some of my acquaintances received the truth for only 6 Months but still received and a few friends did not even listen.
Now, as for the tax, most often non-residents are almost not touched at all. But there are pitfalls here, for example, such as Russia and Turkey have entered into a tax treaty, and if you do not notify Russia that you have a foreign visa. account and money comes there can be problems (I speak from my own experience).
