What utility to check up as IDS/IPS signatures work out?

Can you please tell me a utility for checking IDS / IPS for processing signatures?
Something like Nessus. Tried Mcaffee evader - didn't work.
Preferably a solution out of the box, because. little time is allotted for this and the task is not repetitive.
