Suggest a topic for a thesis. I have been struggling with the topic for more than a month, the first idea was to open doors using a smartphone with NFC. I started work, but as it turned out, this work was already done by the last release. Then a marker radio beacon, but at the department they said that it would even collect a complete sucker from the garbage heap. I would like to take a topic averaged between radio electronics and information technology. Assemble the device on m / n (not arduino, etc.). And so Wi-Fi and GPS modules from old projects remained in stock. What prompts the idea of the Internet of things.

A system for searching for unauthorized Wi-Fi access points in a building based on several Wi-Fi receivers located near the perimeter of the building (preliminary estimation by signal strength).
An improvement on the previous version, when this entire structure is assembled on a chassis and moves by itself in search of the highest Wi-Fi signal level.

Answer - the cars must be aware of all objects of movement within a radius of 150 ... 300m (radio exchange is implied), the automation compares the directions and detects that the car is moving dangerously (the car is moving ahead and the trajectories intersect) - a signal is given to the driver, but there is no change - then there is an intervention in engine operation. So you have to develop such a device that will do this (GPS, position messaging, emergency decision making, intervention)
The topic is wide and relevant (soon there will be such on every machine). So far, the issue of data exchange based on GSM or your bike is being resolved.
