How to evaluate your professional skills?

Good day to all. Programming for me is something like a hobby, with further employment goals. The question is how to evaluate your professional skills? How often do you refer to the framework/library documentation when writing code.

The frequency of references to documentation is not an indicator of professional skills - knowing everything by heart is unnecessary in our business, it is always easier to refer to information at the right time)
And professional skills will be assessed by the employer or a combat project) Well, or go through some roadmap and rate it as a percentage ratio that you already know.

Without the Internet as without hands
Any own assessment will be subjective, your skills should be assessed by society.

I advise you to try a pet project from scratch. After setting the task and writing the TOR (yes, it is highly recommended to write it even for the case of "the only developer, he is the customer"), try to estimate the time and set a deadline. The ratio between the declared and the actual time will give a good estimate of the difference between "I know and can" and "I think that ..."

Professional skills are uniquely evaluated by the complexity, success and speed of completed projects. And only so.

It is impossible to remember everything.
Skills are determined by architectural understanding , not by how often you look at reference books.
