What topic to choose at the NPC?

Hello.
I'm going to participate in the NPC, but I'm at a crossroads with the choice of topic, because. last year at the school NPC presented a program that works with coordinates. The essence of the program was as follows (Then I still wrote only in Pascal): the number of coordinates was entered, after that, depending on the entered number, the perimeter and area were calculated, the type of figure was determined, for 2 coordinates the volume of a ball with such a radius / perimeter, perimeter and area were determined circle with such a radius / perimeter (as they say, everything that can be found for these options), the area and perimeter are calculated for figures that have more than 4 points. However, I doubt that this work, adapted and visualized through C ++, will be worthy of passing to the next stage, which is why I ask you for advice, tell me, is it worth messing with this or looking for a really good idea?

@alexxandr

Try to do the same in 3D :)

@Olej

the number of coordinates was entered, after that, depending on the entered number, the perimeter, area were calculated, the type of figure was determined,

I can't tell you anything about the choice of task (simply because I don't know who the NPC is).
But regarding geometric problems with coordinates, you may be curious and something will tell you this: Comparative review of programming languages - here the same problem of calculating a 2D polygon is solved (for comparison, how it looks) in 15 different programming languages.
Maybe this will give you some ideas...
